“It was a dark and stormy night…”

It was almost Halloween, I was writing a ghost story for the Occasional October Ghost Story. I had writer’s block, which was a real shame since I just wrote the first sentence. I decided to briefly give up and return to it later. I sat on my stairways and exhaled. Then, I heard slow, hard foot steps on the stairs while hearing heavy breathing. My eyes widened since there was no second floor…then I just assumed it was a simple little branch falling on the roof, it was windy after all. I then headed to my bedroom and made the decision to take a nap. After jumping on my bed, I closed my eyes…but then, I felt something I knew I couldn’t have felt, since I was alone…I have a little brother that always loves to climb on me when I’m laying down, whether it’s on my bed or the couch. But I couldn’t have felt him since he was out for candy with mom and dad…I open my eyes and I see and exact clone of a shadowed me…I scream.

“AHHHHHHHHHH”

I then hear something from the clone.

“Heheheh”

It couldn’t have been one of my friends, or my neighbors, or my parents because I recently got a haircut for my costume, but the clone was exactly like me…I was terrified.

I ran out to my laptop and saw it typing itself. It was typing:

“Die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die”

I sprinted outside and found some paper and a pencil. I was going to write a letter about my soon to be death. I couldn’t start with anything so I put my head down for ideas. Then I felt a cold spot on the top of my hand. I looked up and saw the word “die” but instead of lead it was written in…BLOOD. I saw the hook on the lamppost and saw it write “die” too. I ran all the way to the candy store but tripped in the act. I saw a bloody knife by my heart writing die in blood on my shirt. Then saw it stab my heart. There was no happy ending for my life.

This series started when two monsters were fighting in the middle of the city. It started a new age of monster that has not been happening since Ultraseven left four years earlier. Goh Hideki was trying to save some people out of the monster attack. He succeeded but had to pay with his life. Just minutes after he died Ultraman Jack merged with Goh and made him his host. After he defeated the alien Earthtron he applied the team MAT and started to wipe out monster. Later Ultraseven came to earth and gave Jack the Ultrabracelet which helped him to defeat Zetton the last of the monsters during his time on earth. After defeating Zetton he returns to Nebula M37.

  What are you going to do during summer? You could go on vacation, play sports, go to special places, go to the beach, or maybe just lay around and WATCH THE YANKEES LOSE!!!!!!  Here is there scores starting from Saturday.

European astronomers have said that they have found the smallest planet orbiting another star. They think it is about 1.9 times as big as Earth and it belongs to a star known to us as Gliese 581. Gliese lies about 20 light years from us on Earth. (A light year is a unit of distance that light can travel in 1 year. 1 light year is equal to 9,500,000,000,000 kilometers.)

The planet is known as Gliese 581e and is probably rocky like Earth. The only problem is that the planet is so close to orbit, which means that it gets too much radiation and heat to be livable. This discovery is big for Astronomers because now they know that there are more small-mass planets that with the help of instruments they will find planets just like Earth that are suitable for life. This is said to be one of the most exciting discovery in planets so far. Let’s hope that in finding this planet it will help lead to finding other planets like Earth that are livable.
