Free Summer Theatre – Come See Seussical

Dr. Seuss’s best-loved characters and stories hit the stage in this musical adventure. Free tickets are being offered from July 16 – August 17, Saturday – Friday at either 10am, 1pm or 6:30pm. Each day, a limited number of free tickets will be made available to individuals at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on a first-come, first-served basis. Museum of the City of New York

For those Sports fans out there, come visit the Museum of the City of New York to see a special exhibit and take a trip down memory lane with “The Glory Days: New York Baseball, 1947-1957“. While there, check out all other things New York such as the impressive Broadway collection of theater memorabilia. These New York themed exhibits are open on Sundays from 10 am – noon.


Movies at the Hudson River

Come see ever popular children’s movies down by the river. Fridays, starting August 3rd, Hudson River Park will be holding outdoor films including Babe on 8/3, The Wizard of Oz on 8/10, Happy Feet on 8/17 and the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on 8/24. Free popcorn is offered at each screening.


American Museum of Natural History

If so, come visit the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan to view a special exhibit of mythic creatures. Here you will find many answers to your questions about fabulous and fantastical creatures such as sea monsters, griffins, unicorns, Big Foot and even dragons.
This exhibit will last till January 2008.


Children’s Museum of Manhattan: God’s, Myths and Mortals of Ancient Greece

Come one, come all and visit The Children’s Museum of Manhattan. The museum is holding a special exhibit called: God’s, Myths and Mortals of Ancient Greece.

Gods, Myths and Mortals: Discover Ancient Greece will take you on a journey through the world of ancient Greece. Meet Zeus, Poseidon and Athena as they talk about their powers and responsibilities. Take an on-screen personality quiz to determine which mythological character you are most like. Visit the gymnasium, and oikos and climb inside a 12 foot tall Trojan Horse before stepping into Homer’s great epic poem, The Odyssey, where you will journey through rocky caves and over open seas.

An interesting look to the life and times of Ancient Greece.
